Seventeen species in 90 minutes, in the leafy land of spider-webs-in-your-mouth.
Loads of young birds were out and about, monitored by watchful adults – notably Chipping and Song Sparrows, American Crows, White-breasted Nuthatches, Black-capped Chickadees, and American Robins.
Still a lone Eastern Phoebe hanging around in the area of a failed nest.
I was surprised to see a Groundhog chilling in a tree, but then again, they’re basically big lumpy squirrels, so why not?
