The last week seems to have taken on the theme of Motacillidae (Wagtails and Pipits). At least a dozen Eastern Yellow Wagtails have been hanging out in the dump – all three expected subspecies are present, but the majority are tschutschensis. Plenty of other motacillidae action on Gageo, but still no Blyth’s, Pechora, or Red-throated Pipits yet. Also, I haven’t seen a Forest Wagtail in ages. Oh, two days ago I could have sworn I saw another Tree Pipit, but it was a quick look, so who knows.
